Ever watch Dirty Jobs with Mike Rowe? My Daughter loves that show. I think it's just the right dose of reality for a seven year old, teaching her that it's people working hard that make things happen. At the end of every show Mike pleads to his viewers for ideas for dirty jobs to keep him employed.
This is what I'm doing here. Pleading. A humble request to my readers and subscribers around the globe to send me your stories or story ideas so that I may continue adding content to this weblog.
I enjoy this labor of love that I've created, and envisioned this as a place to warehouse the stories and experiences of real estate professionals, so one may come here to be entertained and also possibly learn through our stories.
When I ask any real estate professional if they have any good real estate stories, I invariably get the answer: "I've got hundreds of them." "I could write a book!" When I ask them if they could share one, I get; nadda, nothing, zip. I've actually found a way to mute a salesperson.
As I've been writing in this weblog I've come to realize, that for me, it's one huge mind-sweep. You GTD'ers know what I'm talking about. Eventually, my mind will be emptied of thirty years of experiences (at least the ones that are fit to print), and the posts will become less frequent as any new writings will come from experiences as I encounter them.
And that's what I'm offering to you, Grasshoppers. A chance to free your mind. To empty your mental filing cabinet of all that clutter and noise rattling around up there, and become one with your personal universe transcending into a state of zen-like bliss.
As it is truly written: "Man has five times as many fingers as ears and twice as many ears as nose".
Now go in peace, but before you do, please send me a story.
